Emergency responders of TFD were awakened early this New Years Day to an MVA on Route 89. The alarm came in just before 4:00AM, for a one car roll over with a pole and wires down. TFD units arrived in the 1600 block of Route 89 to find that the driver had self-extricated and was shaken but stable. The pole and wires required the attention of NYSEG and the fire units and fire police were on scene until almost 8:00AM before cleanup was complete. As TFD was returning to quarters, another call came in for a broken water service in the basement of a home on King Street. Members responded and assisted in shutting down the water at the curb box and were helping with mop up when a working car fire was reported in the impound lot of Koskinen's Collision on Podunk Rd. 1841 was already on the road headed to King Street and diverted to Podunk Road. Members on scene used the trash line on "41" to control the fire until 1804 arrived and completed extinguishing the flames. All units were back in service by 9:15AM.
